Yomi® Robot-Assisted Dental Implants
The Yomi is a robot-assisted dental implant system developed by Neocis, a surgical robotics company. It became the first FDA-approved surgical robot for dental procedures in 2016 and received approval for full-mouth dental implants in 2020. The Yomi system guides surgeons with haptic feedback, audio signals, and visual cues on a monitor to ensure precise implant placement. It also adapts to patient movement in real time, helping prevent drill deviation and overdrilling for safer, more accurate results.
Clinical Workflows
The Yomi system provides three streamlined clinical workflows:
- Digitally plan implant placement using the patient’s CBCT scan
- Guide the drill tip to set the precise osteotomy trajectory
- Adjust the treatment plan and change the implant type during the procedure if needed
